BEACH COTTAGE
Neskowin, Oregon

The owners wanted a traditional beach cottage that would fit well with surrounding cottages in this small coastal town. The house is designed in a simple, vernacular style, with natural cedar shingle siding, painted trim, and doublehung windows. On the entry side, a large covered porch extends the living area outdoors and provides a buffer from the street. A rear porch, topped by a balcony off the master bedroom, offers glimpses of the Pacific Ocean. On the main floor is an open living/dining/kitchen area, with a separate guest room. Upstairs are three bedrooms. The interior features beamed ceilings, a stone fireplace, hardwood floors, fir cabinets, and abundant natural light.

This house was featured in Oregon Home magazine (“The Best New ‘Little Old Beach Cottage’ in Neskowin”). It also appears in the book Dream Homes of the Pacific Northwest.
