MEADOW RESIDENCE
This house sits towards the back of a long, gently sloping parcel near the Columbia River. It is entered at the upper side, through a terraced garden leading to a broad, covered porch. Main living areas and bedrooms are oriented westward towards the view. The living and dining rooms and study open onto a terrace overlooking the front garden. Upstairs, the bedrooms and den open onto a covered balcony. Special attention was given to functional requirements in the kitchen, as the owner is a professionally trained chef. A detached garage helps define the entry garden, and contains a workshop and a south-facing sunroom for growing plants.
