This new apartment building replaces two underutilized garage structures located between two existing apartment buildings. The design and materials complement the adjacent buildings. The building consists of two stories with four one-bedroom units per floor. The U-shaped configuration creates a pleasant landscaped entry court, and increases the building perimeter to allow abundant natural light into each unit. Two separate entries and stairways eliminate the need for long interior hallways. Each unit has its own private outdoor space--patios for the ground level units, decks for the upper units. Ground floor units are adaptable for tenants with disabilities. The interiors feature nine-foot-high ceilings, numerous generously-sized windows, and durable, high-quality materials.
